Author Guidelines

The required format for the articles which will be submitted to the journal are summarized as below:

Cukurova University Faculty of Education Journal is a peer-reviewed journal which is published at least twice a year.

- The articles submitted must not be published anywhere before.

- The articles must be written with MS Word 2003 and / or later versions and must be submitted electronically.

- The submitted article page structure must be adjusted as follows;

· Paper Size: A-4,

· Bottom: 3.5 cm,

· Top: 3, 5 cm,

· Left: 4,5 cm,

· Right: 3 cm,

· Header: 3.5 cm

· Footer: 3,5 cm,

· Font: Times New Roman,

· Font Size: 10 points,

· Line Spacing: Single

- Page number should not be given to articles.

- Sections in the original article must be organized as bellow:

· Abstract (max. 250 words),

· Introduction ,

· Research findings,

· Discussion and results,

· Resources.

- The heading of the article must be short, clear, and in accordance with the article; it must be written with 14 points in capital letters and centered.

- The author’s name should be placed under the title with one line space between; if there are more than one writer, the names should be written side by side with 12 points. The author name should be order with a superscript starting from the letter; and with the superscripts being at the beginning, respectively, the name of the university and their address should be written in 10 points with 1 line space under each author (You don’t use this item for apply to manuscript. Please you add author or authors name if your manuscript is accepted).

- Next to the main others name a footnote should be given with "*" symbol, and at the bottom of the page with 10 point it should be written as The Author: the author's e-mail address. (You don’t use this item for apply to manuscript. Please you add author or authors name if your manuscript is accepted).

- The headers should start from the second page, with author written in the center with 8 points, also it should be separated with a "-" and "Of the Faculty of Education" should be written.

- The main section headings should be organized in a way so that they appear on the top left borders in both sides and must be written in small letters. Abstract should be on the left side of the text in capital letters.

- Key Words must be appropriate, understandable; and must be written in 10 points italic on the left side of the page with each letter capitalized, not exceeding 5 words.

- The pictures, figures, and graphs in the article should be shown under the name Figure; figures and graphs should be created on computers; photos or pictures should be numbered and printed black-white on glossy photo paper. The names of the figures should be centered at the bottom of the table with each letter capitalized.

- The table names in the article should be on the top left side of the table with each letter capitalized.

- References to the sources should be made between brackets within the text instead of using footnotes. Respectively, the author's surname, year and page number of the source should be included in the parentheses (Reynolds, 2008, p. 12). Multiple sources must be separated by a semicolon, and if there are 2 or more authors abbreviation should be used.

- Source lists have to be arranged as the surname of the writers alphabetically. These lists have to be followed the name of the writer, the first letter of the name, the date of the article, the name of the article and publishing place of it. The volume of the sources must be written in the parentheses with the numbers and page numbers followed by colon. If the writer of the article is uncertain, Anonymous must be written.

- Articles which do not comply with the page layout will not be taken into consideration.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. Will you complete all the fields for your submission?
2. Have you read the guidelines for contributors and ensured that you have adhered to the word limit for your type of contribution?
3. If appropriate, have you included an abstract of 250 words? For a research paper, have you additionally included a contextualization?
4. Have you anonymised your submission, removed any footnotes and numbered the pages?
5. Have you used the APA-6 system of references? for manuscript format
6. Is the submission unpublished material and not submitted elsewhere?
7. Have you made reference in the text that you have followed the ethical code of your research domain for studies involving human participants?
